What should you do in the event of a technical problem?

If you are unable to complete your transaction (e.g. payment, designation, appeal, etc.), the website in question may be undergoing maintenance. The estimated time for resolving the issue is usually displayed.

We recommend that you wait a while.

If error messages persist for more than 48 hours despite several attempts to clear the cache (and if time permits), contact the call centre on 0806 606 606 who will inform the technical services about it.

In the event of maintenance

However, if maintenance makes it impossible to carry out procedures online, you can:

  • Appeal the fixed fine by enclosing the required documents (by post with acknowledgement of receipt)

    • Appeal the (increased) fixed fine, using the paper form for requesting exemption, or

    • the paper claim form provided (for increased fixed fines only).

  • Pay the fine

    • By credit card

    • By smartphone

    • By telephone

    • At the counter of a public finance centre

    • At an approved partner, such as a newsagent

    • By cash

    • By cheque.
