What does ANTAI do?
The main role of the Agence Nationale de Traitement Automatisé des Infractions (French National Agency for Automated Offence Processing or 'ANTAI') is to automatically process any offences punishable by a fixed fine relating to road safety as well as civil security: noise nuisance, dumping of garbage, narcotic use, carrying weapons, etc. Every year, the Agency sends tens of millions of letters to offenders.
ANTAI also assists local authorities and professionals in implementing specific tools such as electronic tickets, post-parking fees, and even automated designation for fleet managers.
Lastly, ANTAI is also involved in making certain administrative formalities simpler and more accessible online for users and partner organisations, while ensuring the legal and IT security of procedures.
